About Us
The Riviera Maya Dive Alliance is a network of dive centers that promote quality diving in the Riviera Maya through events and diving promotions to foster the International Diving community. Abyss Dive Center, Tank Ha Dive Center and Protect Dive Center joined forces in 2009 to execute this vision to divers internationally who are interested in recreational and technical diving.
Abyss Dive Center and Training Facility has delivered their philosophy of SAFETY, DIVERSITY and FUN to the diving community for over 12 years. With dive centers in Playa Del Carmen and Tulum, Abyss has successfully educated and embraced their divers through their phases of recreational diving. It is not unheard of to hear a diver say they were certified from Open Water to Dive Master with the Abyss Dive Center. Theteam at this dive center put the fun back into diving with land and sea activities to keep divers interested and motivated. Abyss is an SSI and PADI certified dive center focussing on ocean and cenote diving in Playa Del Carmen and Tulum.
Protec Dive Center and Advanced Training Facility is a long standing technical diving facility with a focus on cave diving and training, rebreather training and diving, wreck diving and technical diving and training. Matt and histeam continue to teach technical interested students on the safety, skill and knowledge required to enter into the technical diving environment. With hundreds of caves and cenotes within the area and over 700 km of explored systems, the Riviera Maya is the best and most logical place to move ahead in your technical diving.
Tank Ha Dive Center has been serving international divers in Playa del Carmen for over 15 years. Catering to European divers, Tank Ha is the only dive center in Playa del Carmen that is authorized to take divers from Playa del Carmen to the reefs of Cozumel without the cost of the ferry. Together, the Riviera Maya Dive Alliance utilizes this Cozumel service to take divers to Cozumel, and reefs in Playa del Carmen to complete their diverse diving experience in the Riviera Maya. Tank Ha has a great divingteam and continues to meet the expectations of their clients and guests.
All of these dive centers who are partners in the Riviera Maya Divers Alliance, exist independantly but work as ateam to assist in maximizing the diverse diving areas, join knowledge and operational forces and ensure visiting divers have the opportunity to participate in what ever diving activities and educational courses they see fit for thier vacation.
